Back in the late 90s, I was a young, broken, and deeply hurting teenage girl standing in a school corridor, just months away from graduation. A counselling office had recently opened in my school, and I remember looking at that door and imagining myself on the other side.
In my heart, I whispered, “Come to me. I will help take your pain away.”
Even then, I felt an overwhelming desire to support those who felt abandoned, betrayed, unseen, or alone—because I knew those feelings all too well. At the time, I couldn’t explain where that calling came from. I only knew it was real.
I dreamed of becoming a therapist. But life had different plans.
Instead of going to college and pursuing that dream, another voice inside me became louder. It wasn’t leading me towards a career it was urging me to leave. To leave home. To go as far away as I possibly could.
Something deep within me knew that staying would cost me my spirit, and that spirit was already carrying more wounds than a young girl should ever have to bear.
That decision took me first to Germany and eventually to Ireland. Yet no matter how many miles I travelled, I discovered something important. I hadn’t only been running from my birthplace. I had been running from myself. And from the dream that had quietly lived inside me all along.
My healing journey truly began in my late twenties. After one particularly painful night, I found myself sitting on the floor, overwhelmed with emotion, asking myself why everything hurt so much.
As I slowly began to understand myself, I realised that not all the pain I carried belonged to me. Some of it had travelled through generations before me, unspoken grief, emotional wounds, survival patterns, and burdens passed from one life to another. For years, I carried them without even knowing. Until one morning, something shifted. With the sun already rising outside, I made a promise to myself.
Enough.
I could no longer live disconnected from who I truly was. I chose healing. Not because it was easy, but because I finally believed another life was possible. Around that time, my sister gave me a book called God Does Not Blink. Ironically, my first reaction wasn’t inspiration, it was anger. Yet sometimes the words that challenge us the most become the very words that begin to transform us. That book became the beginning of my gratitude journey, and gratitude became one of the first stepping stones back to myself. Healing didn’t happen overnight.
It has been years of learning, unlearning, forgiving, growing, questioning, and gently reparenting the parts of me that never received the love, safety, and compassion they deserved. Today, that teenage girl still lives within me. The difference is that she no longer stands alone in a school corridor wishing she could save everyone else before saving herself.
Today, she is learning to nurture herself first. She is rebuilding her wings. And because of that, she is finally able to help others rebuild theirs. That is why this website exists.
Reparent Your Life was born from a dream that has quietly lived inside me for decades.
It is a space where I will share my journey, the lessons I’ve learned, the tools that have supported my healing, and the wisdom I continue to discover along the way.
And no, I have all the answers. But because I know what it feels like to believe there are none.
If my story can help even one person feel less alone… If it can inspire someone to choose themselves… If it can remind you that healing is possible, no matter where you begin…
Then every step of my own journey has been worthwhile.
My vision is simple. To help people reconnect with themselves through compassion, curiosity, courage, and self-love. To remind you that your past does not define your future. To encourage you to trust your own inner voice, even when it whispers. And to show you that your wings can heal.
You can rise. You can dream again. And you can create a life that feels deeply, unapologetically yours.
Welcome to the Reparent Your Life Blog.

Let’s begin this journey together.
